GW Women's Basketball (1-1) falls in a close one to Morgan State (1-1) 73-68. The game came down to the last second. This continues a trend from the 2010-2011 season where the Colonials lost 12 games by less than 10 points.

The struggles for the Colonials continued after the half. The team looked slow for the majority of the night but started to shake off the rust but failed to find their groove all night. They shot 25-66 from the field and 2-12 from the 3 point range.

Morgan State continued to be outstanding in their three pointers sinking over 52 percent of their shots from behind the arch finishing 11-21.

Brooke Wilson had another strong performance for the Colonials. She led all scorers with 17 points and secured 7 rebounds. Jamesia Smith led Morgan State with 14 points and 3 rebounds. GW had 30 points from the paint and MSU had 22.

The Colonials look to rebound against Virginia Tech this Saturday with tip off at 2pm in the Smith Center.
