GWTV is the student run television station at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. The station transmits on a closed-circuit channel throughout GWU facilities and residence halls as well as features content online at www.gwtelevision.com.

GWTV is a registered student organization of The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. An entirely student-run television station, GWTV is under the University's noted School of Media and Public Affairs.
As an organization, GWTV produces numerous programs including a music video countdown show, Select Seven and a political debate show, Colonial Crossfire. The station also produces other programs including a weekly sports debate program and a countdown show, Unstoppable and Colonial Countdown respectively.
In addition, GWTV also produces longer form public affairs programming as part of its In Focus series. In January 2008, the program featured a in-depth look at the University's new president, Dr. Steven Knapp.
In October 2007, GWTV produced and broadcasted its first ever documentary, taking a look at the annual production of The Rocky Horror Show here on GW's campus. GWTV also films and airs student theatre productions on Encore, as well various campus events, like the recent speech by presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on campus.
The station also broadcasts the weekly SMPA newscast, The Source, both on air an online. Additionally, GWTV airs the GWU produced interview series The Kalb Report, featuring iinterviews with famed newsmaker Marvin Kalb. In February 2011, Colonial Crossfire's producer received a media pass to cover CPAC. The Colonial Crossfire team covered CPAC from start to finish and landed a major interview with GOProud Executive Director, Jimmy LaSalvia.

In March of 2011, GWTV launched a new and improved GWTelevision.com. The new website gave gwtelevision.com a much needed facelift and a much more user-friendly platform. The new features include a live blog for special events, video streaming capabilities, new show pages, multiple blogs, improved video hosting capabilities, and new social networking capabilities.
